A simple guide for foreign residents: how shopping on Rakuten Ichiba works, plus handy tips.

How to shop

    Create a Rakuten account

    A Rakuten account (Rakuten ID) makes buying on Rakuten Ichiba easy. Sign-up is free with an email address.

    Check the product page

    Tap "View on Rakuten" on our site to open the product page. Check the price, color or type, shipping fee and delivery date.

    Add to cart and order

    Choose the type and quantity and add it to your cart. Enter a delivery address in Japan.

    Choose how to pay

    Besides credit cards, many shops accept convenience store payment, cash on delivery or Rakuten Pay.

    Receive your order

    Once shipped, you can track your order from your Rakuten purchase history. If you miss the delivery, request redelivery using the notice left at your door.

Good to know

  • Most shops only deliver within Japan. Overseas shipping may not be available.
  • Shipping fees differ by shop. Many shops offer free shipping above a certain amount.
  • You earn Rakuten points when you shop, and can use them on your next order.
  • Searching in Japanese finds more items (e.g. スクイーズ squishy, ぬいぐるみ plush, シール stickers).
  • If you have questions, contact the shop with the "ショップへ相談" (ask the shop) button on the product page.
